The table photo: The individualism resulting from modern urban life, the preference for eating in private spaces and other developments have led to the tablecloth eventually becoming an absent symbol on the dining tables of Iranian families, occasionally pulled out of the cabinets for special parties once a year or two. In this project we are trying to show these changes by using photographs from the past years up to the present and examining them as well as the reasons for the decline of this culture based on changing living conditions.
The project focusing on new media Case study table. Its Arabic is "sofra", or perhaps its origin is from Middle Persian "usufrit", meaning "offering" from Avestan "USAFRITI", a cloth on which food is placed when eating. This group research was conducted with the focus on studying contemporary popular culture. This research attempted to show in detail the process of change in popular culture from the 1970s to the present using the medium of photography.
