Mitra began her career as a self-taught artist and later participated in various classes and courses. The geography in which she lives is one of the most important features in choosing the subject of her artwork. Mitra tries to portray a correct translation of it in her paintings, photographs and installations by looking at the surrounding environment and this land with a searching look. Her view and creation of works over the years has been mostly a social and cultural view and the transformation of contemporary life issues, and the traces of topics such as: femininity, immigration, memory and history can be clearly seen in it.
